"We are all equal in our human condition no matter whether we are this journey.  Regardless of age, race, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status, education level or health status, we are all vulnerable and deserving.  Deserving of joy.  Deserving of understanding.  Deserving of belonging.

Just as I serve as a conduit to improved health and wellness for someone today, I will likely need that same level of care from someone else to tomorrow.  We are all one in this journey to living our most fulfilling and healthy lives.  It is our responsibility to create a society that cares for and empowers all of its members.  We are a village."

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapy is a healthcare field that helps individuals with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities perform the daily activities ("occupations") that are essential to their lives and well-being. Therapists work with people of all ages to improve their ability to engage in meaningful tasks, such as self-care, taking care of a living environment, school, work, and play/leisure activities. This can involve adapting tasks, recommending adaptive equipment, or modifying environments to help clients achieve greater independence.  Education is a huge component of the occupational therapy tool kit.  Sometimes helping a clients' village increase understanding of their needs is literally half the battle.
