OUR SERVICES
OUR GOAL
Our goal is not necessarily to become your child's occupational therapist (though Occupational Therapy services may be contracted on a case-by-case basis in person or virtually). Our primary goal is to serve as an advisor and liaison across settings in this journey we call navigating life with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodivergent conditions. We seek to build community, relationship, and a village amongst your team to increase continuity of care and provide consistent, long term therapeutic support. Services are provided through the lens of an occupational therapist with over two decades of diverse experience.
We also believe our clients are happier and safer in a world that understands and recognizes neurodivergence. Therefore, we offer essential educational workshops and peer education and screenings to schools, daycares and organizations.
THERAPEUTIC CONSULTATION SERVICES
- We PERFORM a thorough Evaluative Summary and Recommendations to improve client function and address factors impeding optimal quality of life outcomes. This is a summation of information gathered by your therapeutic consultant and all other team members as well as our findings during the assessment process. This will serve essentially as a Family Service Plan and Team Services Plan for students without IEPs or 504 Plan secondary to schooling outside of public education (e.g. Montessori, Religious based, Charter, Homeschool)
- We COLLABORATE with client and caregiver team/village as appropriate to develop quarterly, biannual or yearly plan based on recommendations and client's needs and preferences.
- We MAINTAIN a relationship with our clients offering support, guidance, information and advocacy when necessary and indicated.
- We FOLLOW UP to increase continuity of care and commitment to plan as well as an opportunity to review and revise plan.
EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
We offer educational workshops to schools, daycares and other organizations about Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodivergent conditions in order to increase acceptance and inclusion.

SCHOOL AND DAYCARE SCREENINGS AND ASSESSMENTS
We offer information and screenings for daycares and school as well as assessments on a case by case basis to identify potential unidentified needs.
PERSONALIZED TOOL KITS
We offer personalized tool kits with personalized information for caregivers, basic sensory and visual aids etc to help parent address client's support needs.
PARENT AND CAREGIVER COACHING
We offer parent and caregiver coaching to assist with transition upon new diagnosis, changes in care provider etc.

Meet your therapeutic consultant
Tonia Sanford Rutledge MS, OTR/L is an occupational therapist with over 21 years of practice within the Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana. Tonia completed her undergraduate work in Sociology and Psychology with distinction at Illinois State University and graduate degree with honors at University of Illinois at Chicago with a specialization in working in Urban settings.
Tonia began her career working with neurodivergent children in schools and community settings and found great joy helping children grow to the happiest and most independent versions of themselves. She went on to work with a variety of populations from pediatrics to adults with a vast array of diagnoses in hospitals, long term care, schools, community and in home settings.
Raising two neurodivergent children, her youngest diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tonia has been literally on both sides of the table. This has nurtured a decades long passion for improving the lives of children with neurodivergent conditions and their families. Her eclectic, evidence based and personalized approach to working clients allows her to center empathy and relationship building when working with clients and their families.
